Come to Live at Cuscowilla

Splendid recreation, relaxation, dining – and world-renowned golf – await you at Cuscowilla, a spectacular 700-acre resort and residential community located on the banks of Georgia’s magnificent Lake Oconee.

Cuscowilla History
The "Creek Indians" populated large areas in the Georgia and Alabama regions of North America. A confederacy , the Creeks had a tendency to band together in many smaller tribes as a means of protection from other tribes. The Creek Indians were able to preserve their customs and were one of the last Native American tribes to exist in the Southeast region of North America.

Over a century ago, the Creek Indians lived and worked alongside the Okoni River, which they called "The Great Water." Today, part of that river is known as Lake Oconee, and its natural beauty and serenity still exist. Just as in the years past and to this day, people are naturally drawn to its bountiful shores. Nowhere is this beauty more evident than at Cuscowilla Resort on Lake Oconee. Cuscowilla's natural land topography is made up of gently rolling meadows bordered by the inherent beauty of fragrant hybrid pine orchards.

This is a special land, rich in history and grateful for the bountiful natural resources. Upon experiencing the serene atmosphere of Cuscowilla, you will no doubt regard Cuscowilla as "your place at the lake."
