In the Presidential Pathways Region, you can slip back in time and recapture the grandeur of the ''Old South'' at the restored Antebellum Plantation Manor House, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and sits on 13 acres, just south of the City of Greenville in historic Meriwether County.

While on the Georgia coast, Savannah has a number of beautiful bed and breakfasts from which to choose. Many are located within the historic district. The award-winning Eliza Thompson House is one of the oldest (built in 1847) and The Catherine Ward House are two examples of inns that offer elegance and charm near the finest shops and restaurants. Further south in the town of St. Marys, you might try the 1872 Victorian-style Spencer House Inn Bed & Breakfast.
