Georgia Meeting and Convention Sites

Meeting and convention facilities are scattered throughout Georgia, which allows you to pick from big city locations to remote mountain locations to beach locations or to facilities located in a particular area of the state.

We have broken meeting / convention facilities into three categories:
1- Convention or conference sites
2- Large meeting sites
3- Small meeting sites

Conference or convention sites have spacious facilities for large meetings. The site must have a meeting room or auditorium that can accommodate at least 200 attendees, breakout meeting rooms, banquet / dining facilities, exhibit space, and reception areas. The facility provides meeting services, such as: event planning and management, registration services, event marketing services, catering services, technical services, presentation services, and technical equipment. These are “meeting only” facilities and depend on nearby hotels, restaurants and attractions for accommodations and other amenities. They are probably owned by the local government or authority.

Large meeting sites provide some of the same facilities and services as do convention sites but also have accommodations on site for the attendees to stay. These may have an on-site restaurant(s) and other amenities that the attendees can also enjoy. Typically these will be large hotels or full service resorts. Large meeting sites are equipped to handle over 200 attendees.

Small meeting sites are those that target 50-200 attendees. The services at these facilities may be somewhat limited but the basic services for conducting a productive meeting are available. On-site accommodations, dining and other amenities are also available.
