A quaint village that is a "must see" when visiting Georgia's Rome.
Set in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains just to the north of Rome, Stonebridge golf course combines rolling hills with unique tee placements, tall Georgia pines and water hazards from the 27 acre lake. While you have the breathtaking views of mountains and foothills, play is on a fairly even stable terrain. But don't be surprised if you run across wild turkey, geese or a deer or two. Stonebridge backs up the 27,000 acres that comprise Berry College which is a protected wild life area.
Heritage & Culture
With the work of the Myrtle Hill-Oak Hill Memorial Association, Georgia's Rome is able to showcase the history of its cemeteries. Georgia's Rome is also blessed with talent and entertainment with the Rome Little Theatre and the Rome Symphony - the oldest symphony in the South.
A visit to Georgia's Rome is not complete without a trip down Broad Street. The Historic Between the Rivers District is home to quaint restaurants and local boutiques - and some of the best antique stores around!

Civil War Heritage
Georgia's Rome has an abundance of Civil War history and heritage sites. Rome is one of the few towns that saw continous action for all four years of the war; thus, modern Rome is left with reminders all around of the great civil war figures that walked on this ground.
